Frequently Asked Questions

What does PassionJet actually do?

We're a business-aviation management company. Aircraft management is the heart of what we do, running aircraft for their owners day to day, and around it we bring the services owners usually have to source separately: aircraft brokerage, aircraft charter, U.S. trust registration, insurance, flight support, and crew. One accountable team, one point of contact.

Do I have to use all your services, or can I pick just one?

Pick exactly what you need. Many owners start with one service (managing an aircraft, registering one on the U.S. registry, or buying or selling) and add others over time. Because everything sits under one roof, the pieces work together when you want them to and stand alone when you don't.

What's included in aircraft management?

Operations and dispatch, crew sourcing and rostering, maintenance program and vendor oversight, budgeting and cost control, regulatory and records compliance, and transparent monthly reporting. The goal is simple: ownership stays a pleasure, not a second job, and you always know where things stand.

Can you help me buy or sell an aircraft?

Yes. Our brokerage team represents owners and buyers end to end: market analysis and valuation, sourcing on and off market, pre-buy inspection management, negotiation, and closing with experienced escrow partners. Because we also register and manage aircraft in-house, your new jet can be flying sooner.

Can I charter my aircraft to offset costs?

Yes. We can place an eligible aircraft on a commercial certificate so it earns revenue when you're not flying, and we handle the scheduling, operational support, and dispatch. We operate under our own and partner Air Operator Certificates depending on the registry and route.

Can you arrange insurance?

Yes. We place hull and liability cover through licensed specialist aviation markets, structured around your aircraft, ownership structure, and where you fly, and we review it as your operation changes.

What does flight support cover?

Trip planning and routing, overflight and landing permits, ground handling and slots, fuel uplift, and trip logistics like catering and crew accommodation, backed by support whenever your aircraft is moving.

Why can't a foreign owner register a U.S. aircraft directly?

U.S. law (49 U.S.C. § 44102 and 14 CFR Part 47) limits FAA registration to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, qualifying U.S. corporations, and governmental units. As part of our trust services, a U.S. citizen owner trustee holds legal title so the aircraft becomes eligible for an "N-number", while you keep beneficial ownership and day-to-day use.

If you register my aircraft in trust, do I lose control?

No. You retain beneficial ownership and practical use through an operating or use agreement. FAA policy requires the trustee to hold genuine legal title and authority, including the "25% rule" limiting non-citizen control to no more than 25% of the power to direct or remove the trustee, and our documents are drafted to meet that standard while keeping the aircraft at your disposal.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the service and your aircraft. Management and recurring services are quoted as clear fixed or scoped fees; trust registration uses a fixed setup fee plus a flat annual fee. Government and third-party costs are passed through at cost and itemized on your proposal. See our pricing page or ask for a fixed-fee proposal.

Where do you operate?

We serve owners across dozens of countries and coordinate operations worldwide, with U.S. registrations filed at the FAA Aircraft Registry in Oklahoma City. Our office is in Dubai.

Is this legal or tax advice?

No. PassionJet provides management, brokerage, trustee, and related aviation services. It does not provide legal or tax advice. We recommend confirming any structure with your own aviation counsel and tax advisor. Our documents are drafted to current FAA policy but should be reviewed by your attorney before signing.
